Pay now, cancel until the order cutoff, ships when it's out.
Pre-ordering reserves your copy of a book that isn't out yet. You pay when you pre-order.
When an order's books come out in different weeks, you choose at checkout: hold everything and ship once the last book is out, at no extra charge, or have each week's books sent as they arrive for a fee per extra package (see shipping).
Publishers set a final order cutoff (FOC) for every book, usually three to four weeks before release. That's when we place our order with the distributor, so pre-order by then to be sure of a copy.
You can cancel a pre-order from your order page until its order cutoff date and get a full refund for that book. Books without a cutoff date on file can be cancelled until 28 days before release. After the cutoff your copy is ordered for you, so it can't be cancelled.
Add a series to your pull list and each new issue we stock is set aside for you. We order enough copies for every pull list at the cutoff. Set-aside books aren't charged until you check out, and you can skip any issue.
Publishers sometimes move release dates. Your pre-order moves with them, and an order with a delayed book waits for it; you can cancel that book if it's before its new cutoff.
If the distributor sends us fewer copies than we ordered, we refund the books we couldn't get and email you.
